Wildlife photography is one of the most complex types of photography out there. It’s a captivating art form that invites us to explore the natural world and its magnificent creatures. It also requires immense amount of patience.
Wildlife photography demands a unique blend of technical skills and intimate knowledge of animal behavior. Photographers must be adept at handling their cameras, understanding settings like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to capture crisp, vibrant images. At the same time it is extremely important to know animal behavior, allowing for the anticipation of a moment that could lead to a stunning shot. Furthermore patience is the key. Wildlife photographers often spend hours, if not days waiting for the perfect opportunity.
Lets dive deep into the technical aspects of wildlife photography.
Its important to know about what settings to use while capturing the wild. For me I use the Aperture Priority mode in which you can set and customize the f-stop for the image and the camera automatically assigns a shutter speed according to the light conditions. At the same time for focus I use the continuous af mode which keeps on tracking the animal/bird while it’s moving and leads to a focused and clear picture.
